Charles J. Cuypers
Mr. Cuypers is licensed in Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska. A graduate of Creighton University, he was first admitted to practice in Nebraska in 1976. Mr. Cuypers has been a partner at Wolfe, Van Ackern & Cuypers in Fort Collins since 2003. Prior to joining Wolfe, Van Ackern & Cuypers, Mr. Cuypers served for ten years as City Attorney for Grand Island, Nebraska.
Charlie’s core practice is real estate development and financing, business organization, acquisitions, mergers, reorganizations, and tax planning. Mr. Cuypers has prepared private placement memorandums and franchise documents, represents clients with franchises in the lodging and quick-service restaurant industries, and is experienced in tax credit financing and manufacturing management.
Mr. Cuypers regularly represents large farm and ranch operations in acquisitions, sales, estate and tax planning, environmental permitting, irrigation matters, and general business transactions. Charlie has handled administration of estates of large scale farm and ranch operations, including preparation of valuations, federal estate returns and state inheritance tax filings.
In the course of three decades of practice, Charlie has represented utility companies and joint ventures constructing gas and coal fired generation, oil and gas developers, landowners and developers in solar energy and wind generation, and negotiated fuel and transportation contracts for utilities.
